The NL playoffs began tonight with the Los Angeles Dodgers at the New York Mets. It was a rainy night and in a close game the Dodgers defeated the Mets 4-3. Both teams came out swinging. It was 3-3 in the top of the 4th when LA scored an unearned run on an error by Mets RF Shawn Green. The pitchers took over after that and neither team could score again. Derek Lowe got the Win for LA, Takashi Saito got the Save. Tom Glavine took the Loss. Carlos Beltran and David Wright homered for NY. Jeff Kent was 4 for 4 for LA.
