Houston's Roy Oswalt pitched a 3-0 shutout today against the Colorado Rockies. For Oswalt it improved his record to 8-0, tops in MLB, and lowered his NL leading ERA to 1.22. No team has been able to figure Oswalt out this season and the win today moved Houston into 1st place in the NL Central, 1/2 game ahead of the Chicago Cubs.

In a game for the baseball purist, Roy Oswalt(8-0) and Aaron Cook(1-6) squared
off in a tense pitching duel, Houston Astros finally emerged victorious over
slumping Colorado Rockies, 3 to 0.
Houston went ahead for good in the 5th inning scoring one runner. Houston
finished with 7 hits in the victory.
Brad Lidge recorded the save, his 10th.
