2006 MLP Playoffs, ALDS Game: Det. @ LA

 October 7, 2006

   The Detroit Tigers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 4-2 tonight in their ALDS Game 3. Detroit scored first getting 2 unearned runs in the 2nd inning. LA scored 2 in the bottom of the 4th on a walk, 1 hit, and a stolen base to tie it up at 2. That was the only hit the Angels would have all night. In the top of the 5th the Tigers rallied with 2 out and no one on base. A walk, a single and a 2-run triple from Ivan Rodriguez gave Detroit a 4-2 lead. The bullpens took over after that not allowing a hit or a run. Jeremy Bonderman was outstanding on the mound for Detroit and got the Win. Fernando Rodney got the Save. Ervin Santana was hit with the Loss. Detroit now holds a 2-1 Series lead.

Jeremy Bonderman delivered 7 solid innings as the Detroit Tigers defeated the
Los Angeles(AL) Angels by a score of 4 to 2 at Angels Stadium.
 
Detroit came up with 2 runs in the top of the 5th inning.  The critical plate
appearance was by Ivan Rodriguez who deflated the spirits of the home town
crowd when he tripled bringing in two baserunners.  Fernando Rodney was
perfect in relief and gained credit for his 1st save.  
 
Bonderman(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing 2
runs. Ervin Santana(0-1) suffered the loss.  He gave up 4 runs and 5 hits in
7 innings.

2006 MLB As Played Replay Wrap Up
