2006 MLB Playoffs, ALDS Game: Det. @ LA

 October 8, 2006

Jered Weaver pitched an outstanding game and Howie Kendrick drove in 5 runs to lead the Los Angeles Angels to an 8-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers in Game 4 of the ALDS. LA scored 3 unearned runs in the bottom of the 1st, 2 of them on Hendrick's single. That would be all the runs Weaver would need. In the bottom of the 5th, Hendrick topped off a 5-run outburst with a 3-run homer. Juan Rivera continued his hot hitting for the Angels by going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI. Weaver lasted into the 9th allowing 5 hits, no walks and striking out 5 for the Win. The Series is now tied at 2 apiece and the teams will travel back to Detroit for a deciding Game 5.
