2006 AL Central Standings

 September 22, 2006

The Detroit Tigers are back in 1st place in the AL Central. The Tigers pounded the Kansas City Royals tonight 10-0 while both Chicago and Minnesota lost. Detroit had led the AL Central Division for most of the season but haven't been in the top spot since the middle of August.
Both Chicago and Detroit have 8 games left in the season while Minnesota has 9. Chicago and Minnesota play each other their last 3 games of the year which may go a long way into determining who will make the post season.
