2006 AL Game and Standings: Det. @ Bal.

  The Detroit Tigers staged a 9th inning rally and went on to defeat the Baltimore Orioles 7-2 today at Camden Yards. The score was tied at 2 when Ivan Rodriguez came up to pinch hit in the top of the 9th with 2 outs and a man on 2nd. Rodriguez came through for Detroit with a 2-run homer and the Tigers exploded for 3 more runs after that for their 7-2 margin of victory.
  The Win left Detroit with sole possession of 2nd place in the AL Central, .5 game behind the Minnesota Twins. Detroit also now holds the top spot in AL Wild Card race.

The Detroit Tigers broke up a 2-2 tie at Camden Yards in the 9th inning, downing
the Baltimore Orioles.  The final score was 7 to 2.
 
Detroit came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning when they
scored 5 runs on 5 hits.  The key offensive moment was provided by Ivan
Rodriguez who disappointed the partisan crowd when he popped a two-run clout
over the fence.  Detroit had 10 hits overall, while Baltimore had 6.  
 
Nate Robertson(12-8) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 8 innings.
Rodrigo Lopez(7-15) was given the loss in relief.  He allowed 2 runs and 4
hits in 3 and 2/3 innings.
