2006 World Series Game #2: LA @ Min.

 October 23, 2006

  The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Minnesota Twins 8-0 in Game 2 of the 2006 World Series. Chad Billingsley and Gino Carrara combined to shut out the Twins. Kenny Lofton was 4 for 5 and scored twice in the game for LA. Minnesota starter Boof Bonser allowed a Jeff Kent homerun in the 1st, another run in the 2nd, and was the victim of an error in the 3rd inning that led to 4 Dodger runs. 
  With the score 6-0 Billingsley cruised through 7 innings throwing 94 pitches before turning the ball over to Carrara. LA got back-to-back homers from Wilson Betemit and Russell Martin off Jesse Crain in the 6th inning to finish the scoring. 
  The Series heads back to LA now for the next 3 games all tied up 1-1.

Los Angeles(NL) drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first
inning plating one baserunner.  That was all Chad Billingsley(1-0) needed.
Los Angeles(NL) out-hit Minnesota for the game, 13 hits to 7.  
 
Boof Bonser(0-1) was the loser.  He allowed Los Angeles(NL) 6 runs in 2 and
