2006 MLB Playoffs

  Facing elimination, the New York Mets were in LA for Game 3 against the Dodgers. The Dodgers got out to a 3-0 lead by the 4th inning before the Mets came back to tie it up in the 8th inning. But in the bottom of the 8th LA's Jeff Kent clubbed a solo shot off Pedro Feliciano for 4-3 Dodger lead. Takashi Saito came on for the 9th and got his 3rd Save of the series. The Los Angeles Dodgers had swept the NY Mets. All 3 Wins by LA were by 1 run.

One run was the difference at Dodger Stadium as the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers
defeated the New York (NL) Mets 4 to 3.
 
The game was decided in the 8th inning.  Jeff Kent clubbed a solo home run.
Los Angeles(NL) banged out 7 hits on the night.  
 
The winning pitcher was Joe Beimel(1-0) who allowed 1 run in 1 inning. Takashi

The Minnesota Twins come back to win Game 3 vs. the NY Yankees 7-6.
In a back-and-forth game the Minnesota Twins held off elimination in
Game 3 and defeated the NY Yankees 7-6 today. The lead changed hands 
6 times before Minnesota took the lead in the bottom of the 8th and 
held on to Win.
