The San Diego Padres clinched 1st place in the NL West tonight with a 4-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Though they are the winningest team in the NL (99 Wins), the Padres are the last to clinch a Division title. That's because of the outstanding Los Angeles Dodger team chasing them all season. The Dodgers (94-64) have clinched the NL Wild Card berth.
