2006 AL Games and Central Division Standings

 September 30, 2006

The Detroit Tigers defeated the Kansas City Royals 8-2 tonight while the Minnesota Twins defeated the Chicago White Sox 6-4. Detroit and Minnesota are guaranteed at least the Wild Card spot. Because both Detroit and Minnesota are guaranteed playoff spots, if they end up tied for 1st place, the Twins will get the AL Central title due to their 12-7 record against the Tigers this season. The Chicago White Sox are out of the playoff picture. They can only be spoilers now.
